 NC-programs

When all manufacturing features are entered in the SolidWorks® model at the end of the design process, the corresponding CNC program can be generated on a fingertip.

At the moment there are 3 powerful postprocessors available:

  •  an MPR interface for all machines of the Homag group (Homag and Weeke)
  •  an DCV interface of the company GTR for the control of all common CNC machines based on a technology database.
  •  an AlphaCAM interface for the control of all other, common CNC-machines

The machining description is derived from the SolidWorks® model geometry-features. Modification of the SolidWorks® model geometry automatically updates PASCAM Bea applied machining strategies and CAM data resulting in full associativity with the geometry as well as the feature.

To get a higher flexibility, complete machining strategy features - i.e. the drilling features - can be temporarily excluded and suppressed from the generation, just by not checking the corresponding boxes. It also can be determined, which geometry features - in addition to the necessary ones for the machining - should be transmitted to the postprocessor.

The machine-neutral CNC-data generation and subsequent postprocessor specific parameter specification in PASCAM Bea is enabling the control and CAM program generation for multiple machines from different woodworking CNC machine manufacturers. PASCAM Bea offers the most exhaustive set of CNC machining strategies available today.
