The
PASCAM GmbH is exhibiting
regularly at the Holz-Handwerk fair
in Nuremberg. This 15th European Trade Fair
for Machine Technology, Equipment and Supplies for the Wood Crafts
was running from 24th to 27th March 2010.
In a joint effort with our longtime
CAM-Partner
GTR GmbH, as well as the
SolidWorks®
sales staff from DPS Software GmbH we could successfully show the new, universally applicable PASCAM Assembly
generator for the quick configuration of SolidWorks®
assemblies, improved PASCAM user interface and dialogues, the new
user-defined custom databases for woodworking hardware and woodworking
joining elements, as well as the nesting solution 'GTR Nest Manager
powered by PASCAM Bea' for true shape nesting in CNC machining.

Considerable enhancements to our CAM
solution: The new PASCAM
Bea release version 1.2.36
is loading assemblies now four times faster and needs six times less
memory.

To ensure an improved product development of
coming PASCAM
software solutions and the seamless integration with the
SolidWorks® system PASCAM
has finally ceased the support of SolidWorks® 2007
and 2008 with the release of SolidWorks® 2010.
Customers and users of SolidWorks® versions 2007 and 2008 are hereby invited to
upgrade their SolidWorks® installations to the current
version. The users of the PASCAM
software solutions benefit significantly from the annual
software enhancements of the SolidWorks® system,
specifically at the interfaces used by PASCAM
to expand and enhance the power of its the
PASCAM software solutions.
PASCAM recommends urgently in this regard all of its customers
to continue the SolidWorks® software subscription
service.

We have implemented considerable
enhancements to the PASCAM Variable management which are now
available for all users of PASCAM
WoodWorks and
VariXPASCAM by
updating to the current release version 2.4.43.
The improvements include input fields in the table header, which
allow to reduce the display of the variable table in a quick and
easy way by entering search terms or values. Furthermore the option
to split up the variable table view vertically, which simplifies and
accelerates considerably those paste & copy operations which have to
be done across several sub-assemblies and components. This is
especially benefiting for users who work with extensive assemblies
and/or users who always work with the PASCAM Variable management
open on a secondary computer monitor.

did showcase its software solutions from September
19th - 20th at the 4th
C-Techtage in the
Bern
University of Applied Sciences - Architecture, Wood and Civil
Engineering, in Biel, Switzerland.

and Mr. Frei from our Swiss distribution partner,
SolidSolutions AG acted
as co-exhibitors at this event.

For the first time
PASCAM
did showcase it's integrated woodworking CAD/CAM
solutions to an expert public in the U.S.A. at the
International Woodworking
Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair, from August 20th - 23rd 2008 in
Atlanta, Georgia.
- We have implemented a new operating
mode in PASCAM
WoodWorks, enabling the
program to process equations substantially faster than the
conventional SolidWorks®
equation solver.
The PASCAM
equation solver is to the most extend compatible with the SolidWorks®
equation solver, however it contains some improvements which
increase performance and makes it 30 times faster! This manifests
itself primarily positive when you are opening models containing
many equations.

PASCAM
was once again exhibiting at the
Holz-Handwerk fair in Nuremberg from 02.04.
to 05.04.2008.
As a co-exhibitor we brought our
CAM-Partner
GTR GmbH
- just the the same way as at the last Holz-Handwerk fair 2006,
Mr. Karle was present during the whole runtime of the trade fair.
And as a gratifying novelty we had sales personnel from the biggest
German SolidWorks® VAR, the
DPS Software GmbH as an
associate exhibitor, supporting us not only throughout the
entire trade fair, but also before and afterwards in the marketing
and sales process with our prospects.

Since January 2008
we are able to provide
PASCAM
Bea directly as an OEM version without an
additional, separate SolidWorks®
licence, making it more cost-effective to purchase the leading,
fully integrated woodworking CAM system for
SolidWorks®.
The OEM version of our CAM software is
officially called: "PASCAM Machine Edition – a CAM package powered by
SolidWorks Parts and Assembly".

We
could present ourselves to a broader public at the
DPS customers'
day on July 24th, 2007 as the reference supplier of a SolidWorks®
based CAD/CAM partner solution for the woodworking sector. Numerous
prospective customers and DPS sales and support personnel gathered
information about innovations and improvements of our software
solutions.
