PASCAM
did showcase it's integrated woodworking CAD/CAM
solutions for the first time in the U.S.A. at the International Woodworking
Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair, from August 20th - 23rd 2008 in
Atlanta, Georgia, generating big interest in our powerful and
innovative solutions.
Hosted by our PASCAM Sales
Representative for the North American market, Barry Feltham from
Millworks Software the exhibition and live demonstration of our
software solutions and services produced a vast number of valuable and
qualified leads on this side of the Atlantic.

We would like to thank
Mr. Kühnel from our
CAM-Partner
GTR GmbH
who was present during the whole runtime of the trade fair as an
associate exhibitor, demonstrating the brand-new integrated nesting solution
he developed for our woodworking CAM solution
PASCAM
Bea.
At the IWF 2008 we introduced the integrated,
brand-new, nested based machining solution 'GTR Nest Management
powered by
PASCAM
Bea', developed by
our CAM partner GTR, for the first time to a bigger audience. In
particular we did showcase the quick modeling and re-modeling
process for dimensional customization of a case cabinet model, as
well as the efficient
PASCAM
CNC coupling by
PASCAM
Bea. To generate the CAM
machining program the model is dissolved into its individual
components and transferred to the GTR nesting module. The GTR
nesting module then generates the machine-specific CNC programs from
the originally machine-neutral CNC information delivered by
PASCAM
Bea to control any
CNC-machining centers. It also arranges the nesting of the
individual assembly components in a time-optimized and/or
material-optimized manner for the machining on the raw particle
board sheet.
See
here for more detailed information to this powerful enhancement
to our CAM solution
PASCAM
Bea.
Due to a ban on photography at the whole show
there are only a few pictures to document our
exhibition booth at the International
Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair
2008:
Nevertheless the visitor turnout was overwhelming
and we expect good results in the post-fair business
from buyers, new prospects and contacts we could successfully generate
at this venue. In this spirit we would like to thank every
visitor, prospect and buyer who turned up
at hall B-1 / booth #
4043 and let us show our tools
for more engineering efficiency in woodworking at the IWF 2008 in Atlanta.
