Can PASCAM Bea be used without PASCAM WoodWorks?

In principle yes. PASCAM Bea is an independent SolidWorks^® Add-On solution, just like PASCAM WoodWorks.
But in practice the user would lack among others the CAD/CAM data consistency, the useful automatisms, the material management and the high rate of variability of PASCAM WoodWorks. Which only at a joint installation of PASCAM WoodWorks and PASCAM Bea is creating an efficient and powerful, comprehensive CAx-system.
That's why we sell PASCAM Bea only as a bundle with PASCAM WoodWorks.

Do I need an AlphaCAM license for PASCAM Bea?

No, an AlphaCAM postprocessor from Licom is only necessary, if you have to control certain CNC processes (i.e. 5 axis CNC machines). For most of the common CNC machining we offer other postprocessors, which are lower in price. Please ask for an alternative offer. In case please have information ready regarding your machine park, you wish to control (manufaturer/model/year of construction/version of control software)
Already existing AlphaCAM licenses in your company may be used.
