•  To ensure an improved product development of coming PASCAM software solutions and the seamless integration with the SolidWorks^® system PASCAM needs to end the support of SolidWorks^® 2007 as of July 1st, 2009.
  With the coming release of SolidWorks^® 2010 PASCAM will also end the support of SolidWorks^® 2008, meaning all SolidWorks^® versions prior to SolidWorks^® 2009 will then not be supported anymore. Customers and users of SolidWorks^® versions 2007 and 2008 are hereby invited to upgrade their SolidWorks^® installations to the current version. The users of the PASCAM software solutions benefit significantly from the annual software enhancements of the SolidWorks^® system, specifically at the interfaces used by PASCAM to expand and enhance the power of its the PASCAM software solutions. PASCAM recommends urgently in this regard all of its customers to continue the SolidWorks^® software subscription service.

•  In-depth testing has proven that all the PASCAM software solutions are supporting the current release of SolidWorks^® 2009 in every aspect. A general approvement for all users to update to SolidWorks^® 2009 and the current Servicepack is hereby granted. Our customers from the woodworking sector will now be able to enjoy the current enhancements of the latest SolidWorks^® release to work with an even faster and more user-friendly application. Initial tests for the SolidWorks^® version 2010 also show positive results.

•  In-depth testing has proven that all the PASCAM software solutions are supporting the current release of SolidWorks^® 2008 Servicepack 3 in every aspect. A working patch for current users of PASCAM con@3D is already published at our download area as a general release. Our customers from the woodworking sector will now also be able to enjoy the market leading 3D CAD system in its current version with even faster and more user-friendly application and the more than 250 improvements in comparison to the preceding SolidWorks^® 2007 release.

•  Our novelty PASCAM con@3D is a B2B and/or B2C Web service with HTML-front-end, enabling an on-line 3D product configuration, or serves as an interior design/-planning tool. Offering new and undreamt-of possibilities for the woodworking trade of getting in contact with end customers and suppliers as well as executing on-line orders - creating a fully digital process from outside the company straight to the CNC-manufacturing line.

The product configurator PASCAM con@3D is still under development. A lower level solution called PASCAM con@3D Var is already available for in-house product configuration engineering. Development goals for the consumer market are defined, but the product itself is still at the beginnings. Nevertheless we would like to show you, where the coming developments will lead us and what kind of efforts we want to undertake to achieve them.
